Primary Purpose

Perform custodial work and supervise other workers. Open and close building for special school functions. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.

 

Qualifications

Education/Certification/Licensure

High School diploma or GED

 

Special Knowledge/Skills

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of basic techniques of minor building repairs

Ability to operate cleaning equipment, lift heavy equipment, and properly handle toxic cleaning   supplies

Ability to interface with staff, students, and community

Ability to work flexible schedule

 

Experience

Requirement determined by supervisor

 

Major Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Help with scheduling and training custodians.
  2. Plan, oversee, and participate in all custodial work, maintaining a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
  3. Monitor time cards of all custodial employees in the school.
  4. Maintain an inventory and order custodial supplies from warehouse.
  5. Strive constantly to promote the safety, health, and comfort of the students and employees.
  6. Be responsible for the general fire safety and security of the building.
  7. Perform minor and emergency repairs and maintenance as necessary.
  8. Keep building and premises, including sidewalks and driveways, neat and clean.
  9. Check daily to ensure that all exit doors are open and all panic bolts are working properly during the hours of building occupancy.
  10. Participate in district energy management and IPM programs.
  11. Participate in district’s Standard Reunification Protocol as directed by the District’s Incident Commander.
  12. Be available for after-hours demands.
  13. Exhibit CCISD Core Values of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.

  20. Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
  21. Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
  22. Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
  23. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
  24. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
  25. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
  26. Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.

Including but not limited to buffer, scrubber, wet/dry vacuum, shampooer, extractor, and other small electrical tools
