Primary Purpose
Perform professional work in applied behavior analysis and behavior management for students in special education. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.
Qualifications
Education/Certification/Licensure
Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA)
Special Knowledge/Skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills
Knowledge of data collection and analysis
Knowledge of prevention and intervention strategies, including behavior management interventions
Knowledge of child development
Strong consultation skills for conferencing with teachers, parents, and students
Experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing applied behavior analysis services in an educational setting (Internship with school district preferred)
Major Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide behavioral services for students with Autism and other developmental disabilities referred by Clear Creek ISD, educators, and related school personnel.
- Provide functional behavior assessments and treatment of challenging behavior (aggression, self-injury, disruption, noncompliance, stereotypic behavior, etc.)
- Assess school-readiness skills and identify effective educational interventions.
- Develop and disseminate training materials for teachers and related school personnel.
- Provide assistance in district training programs.
- Provide progress reports to the designated CCISD contact coordinator.
- Participate in staffing’s, ARDs, and other meetings, as needed.
- Supervise graduate student interns working towards BCBA or other behavior related credential.

- Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
- Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
- Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
- Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
