Primary Purpose

Support the mission, vision, and strategic goals of Clear Creek ISD by planning, organizing and facilitating curriculum, professional learning and activities related to intermediate and high school Career and Technical Education teachers and staff. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.

 

Qualifications

 

Education/Certification/Licensure

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

Valid Texas teaching certificate required

Career and Technical Education (CTE) teaching certificate preferred

Agriculture experience required

 

Special Knowledge/Skills

Knowledge of Career and Technical Education programs

Effective communication, public relations and interpersonal skills

Strong Organizational skills

Strong technology knowledge and skills

General knowledge of CTE curriculum and instruction

 

Experience

Minimum of 3 years successful teaching experience

 

Major Responsibilities and Duties

 

  1. Assist in planning, developing, and growing instructional programs in the areas of STEM, agriculture science, engineering, architecture and construction, computer maintenance and networking, manufacturing, electronics, and automotive technology.
  2. Oversee operations and maintenance of district’s East and West Agriculture facilities.
  3. Coordinate and plan monthly Agriculture Science teacher meetings.
  4. Coordinate, plan, and supervise annual CCISD Agriculture livestock show and auction.
  5. Ensure all shop based CTE labs meet OSHA standards and are properly outfitted to meet the student training needs of industry.
  6. Connect to industry through seeking industry partnerships and mentorships for high school CTE programs.
  7. Provide ongoing support to grow these partnerships and integrate them throughout the CTE programs.
  8. Review and recommend instructional materials, software, hardware, tools, machinery and equipment appropriate to the curriculum.
  9. Provide support to CTE teachers through coaching, mentoring, collaborating and consulting.
  10. Assist in supporting CTE teachers, career specialists, and counselors to promote CTE programs throughout the district and community.
  11. Facilitate gathering, analyzing, and disseminating local, state, and national labor market information.
  12. Assist in the planning of district CTE specialty events and ceremonies.
  13. Keep abreast of innovative programs and instructional strategies for all CTE programs.
  14. Facilitate communication from the CTE department to all stakeholders.
  15. Exhibit CCISD Core Values of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
  16. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.         
  17. Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality professional learning opportunities for personal growth.

  19. Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.
  20. Demonstrates proficient levels of technology applications.
  21. Participates fully in drills and safety exercises to provide for the safety and overall emotional wellbeing of students.
  22. Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
  23. Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
  24. Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
  25. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
  26. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
  27. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
  28. Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
