Primary Purpose

Assist the Athletic Field Supervisor in performing necessary tasks to manage district athletic fields and synthetic grass. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.

 

Qualifications

Education/Certification/Licensure

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Texas driver’s license and pass MVR driving record check - must meet eligibility requirements for CCISD motor vehicle insurance

 

Special Knowledge/Skills

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English

Working knowledge and experience in the use and operation of all ground maintenance equipment

Major Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Perform necessary tasks to maintain district athletic fields and synthetic grass management.
  2. Trim, prune, and remove trees to promote growth.
  3. Apply pesticides and pest control devices according to manufacturer’s recommendations.
  4. Must follow all safety instructions when handling chemical applications.
  5. Perform duties as assigned with hand and power tools for athletic field maintenance.
  6. Report any hazardous situations to supervisor.
  7. Remove hazardous objects such as broken glass, rods, concrete, etc. from the grounds.
  8. Participate in the district’s Standard Reunification Protocol as directed by the District Incident Commander or designee.
  9. Exhibit CCISD Core Values of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
  10. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.
  11. Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality professional learning opportunities for personal growth.
  12. Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.
  13. Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.
  14. Demonstrates proficient levels of technology applications.
  15. Participates fully in drills and safety exercises to provide for the safety and overall emotional wellbeing of students.
  16. Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
  17. Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
  18. Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
  19. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
  20. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
  21. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
  22. Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned. 

Equipment Used

Including but not limited to all hand and power tools mowing equipment for athletic fields, and tools for synthetic grass management.

Concentration in operation of equipment; ability to maintain emotional control

 

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors

Standing and walking 8 hours a day; lifting up to 80 pounds; outside exposure to varying climate conditions, dust, toxic chemicals, and materials

 

TERMS: 230 days
