Primary Purpose
To maintain order in the high school parking lots by monitoring parking lots before, during and after school hours.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification/Licensure
- High School diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess a good driving record
- Ability to read and follow instructions
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic
Experience
- Requirement determined by supervisor
Major Responsibilities and Duties
- Monitor parking lots before, during and after school.
- Patrol perimeter of campus throughout day
- Verify doors are secure throughout day
- Look for unusual activities and suspicious persons
- Patrol Athletic Facilities
- Patrol hidden area of campus
- Assist with arrival/dismissal of staff and students
- Assist the crossing guard supervisor in observing the daily operation of the crossing guard program.
- Provide written or oral reports as required.
- Provide support in areas of campus that are safety vulnerable.
- Work with Director of Safe Schools to identify and address vulnerabilities.

- Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality professional learning opportunities for personal growth.
- Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.

- Participates fully in drills and safety exercises to provide for the safety and overall emotional wellbeing of students.
- Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.

- Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
- Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
- Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
- Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
- Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
