Primary Purpose

Major Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Help with scheduling and training custodians.
  2. Oversee and participate in all custodial work, maintaining a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
  3. Maintain an inventory and order custodial supplies from warehouse.
  4. Strive constantly to promote the safety and security of the building.
  5. Be responsible for the general fire safety and security of the building.
  6. Perform minor and emergency minor repairs and cleaning service as needed.
  7. Keep building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas, neat and clean at all times.
  8. Check daily to ensure that all exit doors are secured and all panic bolts are working properly during the hours of building occupancy.
  9. Participate in district energy management and IPM programs.
  10. Participate in the district’s Standard Reunification Protocol as directed by the District’s Incident Commander.
  11. Be available for after-hours demands.

  14. Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.

  20. Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
  21. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
  22. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
  23. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
  24. Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.

Including but not limited to buffer, scrubber, wet/dry vacuum cleaner, shampooer, extractor, and other small electrical tools
