Primary Purpose
Perform analyses for support services departments to assist in the improvement of departmental efficiency and to ensure compliance with departmental project, policy, and reporting requirements. Assist in emergency response and recovery efforts as required in the District’s Emergency Operations Plan. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.
Qualifications
Education/Certification/Licensure
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or extended school district financial management experience preferred.
Special Knowledge/Skills
Effective communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and file maintenance skills
Ability to multi-task and work with little supervision
Expertise in MS Windows, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook
Experience in database management software, facility scheduling software, and accounting software applications
Proficient in budget maintenance, general accounting, and reporting
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Experience
At least three years of verifiable experience in accounting or a related field is required. Experience in school district construction accounting is preferred.
Major Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare monthly financial reports for facilities projects and all bond and capital
- Establish and maintain internal controls over all bond and capital funds.
- Prepare construction project financials and other information needed for inclusion in Board Meeting agenda packets (combined with information assembled by the Executive Assistant to the Assistant Superintendent of Support Services).
- Prepare and process account and budget request forms (coordinate with finance Department) to establish construction project accounts and budgets as well as to capture savings at the end of
- Review Facility Services consultant contracts for content and compliance with established requirements.
- Conduct reviews of internal control and operating processes and procedures for all Support Services departments based upon board policies and guidance from the Assistant Superintendent of Support Services.
- Provide support to the external auditors during the audit of the capital projects funds and Federal and State programs related to Support Servicesprograms (Disaster Recovery, School Safety, Transportation, etc.).

- Assist the Director of Facility Services with Facility Condition Assessments, Facility Advisory Committees, and the overall Bond Planning process.
- Plan and perform special finance projects as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Support Services.
- Oversee the contractor badging policies and procedures process.
- Obtain and maintain required DPS certifications and access.
- Create and maintain project master files (PMF) for all projects. Includes the monthly posting of all transactions from the District’s accounting software and approved allowance expenditures.
- Collaborate with various department and campus staff to properly budget and expend bond, capital and applicable federal and state grant
