Primary Purpose
Facilitate the efficient operation of the finance office by providing bookkeeping and administrative support for the director and the accountants. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.
Qualifications
Education/Certification/Licensure
High school diploma or GED
Notary public certification or eligible for Certification
Special Knowledge/Skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills and knowledge of or ability to learn PowerSchool ERP, Excel, Word and
Kronos software
Proficient organizational and file maintenance skills
Knowledge of general office practices and procedures
Competent math skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality, multi-task and work with little supervision
Experience
Minimum of 3 years bookkeeping or accounting experience
School district business office experience preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide administrative support to the Controller including typing correspondence, answering the telephone, opening and distributing mail, filing and ordering supplies.
- Prepare journal entries.
- Prepare monthly Board agenda tracking forms.
- Prepare and post budget amendments, adjustments and transfers as necessary.
- Prepare monthly financial statements for Board approval.
- Post all cash receipts.
- Assist in the yearly preparation of the district budget, including budget data entry and updating the Budget Preparation Manual.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules.
- Assist with cash management and grant accountants as needed.
- Perform selected monthly cash reconciliations.
- Assist district employees with departmental inquiries.
- Prepare and maintain the department vacation schedule.

- Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
