Description

Primary Purpose

  • Assist the Energy Manager in diagnosing, repairing, troubleshooting, and responding to the utility needs of the district’s facilities.

 

Qualifications

Education/Certification

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Texas driver’s license and pass MVR driving record check - must meet eligibility requirements for CCISD motor vehicle insurance

 

Special Knowledge/Skills

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computerized energy management
  • Basic knowledge of hardware and software of building automation systems
  • Ability to use diagnostic equipment such as digital volt meters, flowtronics
  • Ability to work in confined areas
  • Ability to pull and install DDC control cable
  • Ability to work flexible schedule

 

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of technical training or hands on experience in facilities energy management program

           

Major Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Assist the Energy Manager in the installation of DDC controls and other components to enhance the total energy management program.
  2. Program requested facility schedule for air conditioning and heating usage.
  3. Respond and assist the Energy Manager to determine appropriate temperature settings for work order requests.
  4. Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality staff development opportunities for personal growth.
  5. Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.
  6. Demonstrate integrity and ethics.
  7. Display proficient levels of technology applications.
  8. Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
  9. Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
  10. Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
  11. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
  12. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
  14. Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned by Energy Manager or Director of Maintenance.
  15. Be available for after hour demands.
