Primary Purpose
Provide ROTC students with appropriate learning experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth; enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
Qualifications
Education/Certification
Associate’s degree from an accredited college, Bachelor’s degree preferred
Certified by a state certifying agency for LDC
Special Knowledge/Skills
Effective communication, interpersonal and public relations skills
Familiar with the Army Regulations 145-2 and CCISD LDC handbook
Familiar with CC Form 214R, the Army’s evaluation system
Familiar with principles of instruction
Experience
Former military personnel or member of the Reserve Components
Major Responsibilities and Duties

Serve the chief instructor of the LDC unit.

Manage the LDC program in accordance with school rules, regulations, and customs.

Advise school authorities on laws and regulations affecting the legal and safe operation of the program.

Continually evaluate the LDC program.

Enforce the uniform dress out policy.

Serve as unit fund manager.

Conduct risk assessment prior to engaging in high risk training.

Enforce property accountability policy.

LDC instructors coach Color Guard, Academic Team, and Physical Fitness Team as a minimum.

Advise the Cadet Battalion Officer staff.

Coordinate extracurricular activities and out of district travel with the district Director of Military Science.

Manage the LDC program in accordance with AR 145-2.

Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
