Primary Purpose

  • Assist Title I campuses with materials, supplies, professional development activities and parental involvement programs funded by Title I funds.

Qualifications

Education/Certification

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Educational Aide I certification

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well with adults and children
  • Strong organization and file management skills
  • Efficient computer skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn record keeping regulations as required by state and federal government

  • Patience, tolerance, and flexibility
  • Knowledge of general office equipment 

Experience

  • Verifiable experience working with children (e.g. daycare, Sunday school, sports, girl/boy scouts)
  • Verifiable experience working with office procedures

Major Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Assist Title I campuses staff and Federal Programs Department in obtaining, organizing, and tracking all instructional materials and supplies purchased with Title I funds.
  2. Assist tracking all professional development activities funded by Title I funds.
  3. Assist Title I campuses with parental involvement activities.
  4. Complete all assignments from Title I campus principals, which could include working with individual students or small groups to conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher.
  5. Participate in in-service training programs, faculty meetings, and special events as needed.
  6. Uphold and enforce school rules, administrative regulations, and state and local board policy.
  7. Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality staff development opportunities for personal growth.
  8. Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.
  9. Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.
  10. Demonstrate integrity and ethics.
  11. Display proficient levels of technology applications.
  12. Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
  13. Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
  14. Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
  15. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
  16. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
  17. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
  18. Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
