Primary Purpose

  • Provide Tier 1 technical and administrative support for site (Campus) based Voice, Video and Data Systems.

 

Qualifications

Education/Certification

  • High school diploma required, college preferred
  • A+ certification preferred
  • Must pass CCISD drug and alcohol abuse standards
  • Must pass criminal history and MVR driving record checks

 

Special Knowledge/Skills

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand operation of equipment
  • Ability to read, follow, and interpret software and hardware manuals
  • Ability to type on computer keyboard and read monitor

 

Experience

  • 2 years experience providing customer and technology service and support
  • Experience in network wiring configuration and installation
  • Experience in setup and troubleshooting of Microsoft and Apple operating system
  • Experience in installation and problem resolution of telecommunication equipment
  • Experience in installation of software packages (e.g. MS Office, MS Windows)

 

Major Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Manage setup, installation, configuration, updates, and upgrades of campus labs and wireless carts.
  2. Assist with installation and provide problem resolution for end user voice and telecommunication equipment.
  3. Assist with maintaining and problem resolution of wired and wireless network infrastructure which supports voice, video and data operations.
  4. Install, configure, update and upgrade software and test operations in campus environment.
  5. Install, maintain, repair, update and upgrade new and existing technology equipment and peripherals as required.
  6. Manage desktop security applications and maintain security software on student desktop machines.
  7. Instruct/train district personnel on proper procedures of operation of district network software and equipment.
  8. Manage procurement, deployment, and inventory of technical equipment.
  9. Complete written record of every service call or repair.
  10. Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality staff development opportunities for personal growth.
  11. Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.
  12. Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.
  13. Demonstrate integrity and ethics.
  14. Provide monthly updates and status reports to campus Principal and Technology.
  15. Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
  16. Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
  17. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
  18. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals and deadlines of the school/department are met.
  19. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
  20. Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as required.
