Description | Primary Purpose
- Install, repair, and maintain all types of air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration equipment to ensure proper indoor air quality in all district facilities.
Qualifications
Education/Certification
- High school diploma or GED
- Texas driver’s license and pass MVR driving record check - must meet eligibility requirements for CCISD motor vehicle insurance
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of pneumatic controls
- Knowledge of sequence of operation for hot and chill water systems and controls
- Knowledge of low-pressure boilers and pumps
- Able to do some sheet metal work
- Able to read extensive wiring diagrams
- Knowledge of basic techniques of hand tools, small power tools such as hand drills and saws, and proper use of ladders

- Requirement determined by supervisor

- Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
- Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
- Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
- Be available for after hour demands.

- Including but not limited to hand tools, small power tools, air conditioning gauges, volt, ohm, amp meter, ladders, and all other related air conditioning equipment and tools

- Strenuous walking, standing and/or climbing
- Heavy lifting 20-80 lbs.
- Inside and outside exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures
- Exposure to dust, toxic chemicals, and materials
- Slippery and/or uneven walking surfaces
- Work on ladders
