Primary Purpose
- Organize, schedule, and oversee work orders on a daily basis in order to maintain kitchen equipment in a condition of operating excellence.
Qualifications
Education/Certification/License
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Texas Drivers License and MVR driving record check – must meet requirements for CCISD motor vehicle insurance if required for job performance.
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read wiring and diagrams
- Ability to use tools and equipment relating to kitchen equipment repair
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years successful experience in kitchen equipment repair
Major Responsibilities and Duties
- Assume primary responsibility for the safe and functional condition of all kitchen equipment, including installing, repairing, and maintaining equipment.
- Practice all safety regulations of the trade.
- Report all safety hazards.
- Work well independently.
- Perform preventive maintenance as needed and requested.
- Recommend supplies and equipment for purchase.
- Respond to emergencies at night and on weekends.
- Evaluate personnel under his or her supervision.
- Operate school district vehicle safely for up to 100 miles daily.
- Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality staff development opportunities for personal growth.
- Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.
- Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.
- Demonstrate integrity and ethics.
- Display proficient levels of technology applications.
- Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
- Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
- Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
- Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
- Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
- Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
- Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
