Description

Primary Purpose

  • Follow a preventive maintenance schedule of changing all air conditioning filters throughout the district.

Qualifications

Education/Certification

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Texas driver’s license and pass MVR driving record check - must meet eligibility requirements for CCISD motor vehicle insurance

Special Knowledge/Skills

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of air conditioning and heating systems
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Experience    

  • Requirement determined by supervisor

Major Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Maintain a routine schedule of changing filters to ensure good air quality in all district facilities
  2. Be flexible with work schedule to respond to emergencies at night and on weekends when needed.
  3. Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality staff development opportunities for personal growth.
  4. Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.
  5. Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.
  6. Demonstrate integrity and ethics.
  7. Display proficient levels of technology applications.
  8. Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
  9. Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
  10. Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
  11. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
  12. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
  14. Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned

  • Strenuous walking, standing and/or climbing
  • Heavy lifting from 20-80 lbs.
  • Inside and outside exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures
  • Exposure to dust, toxic chemicals, and materials
  • Slippery and/or uneven walking surfaces
  • Work on ladders
