Primary Purpose

• Assist the Athletic Field Supervisor in performing necessary tasks to manage district athletic fields and synthetic grass

Qualifications

Education/Certification/License

• Texas driver’s license and pass MVR driving record check - must meet eligibility requirements for CCISD motor vehicle insurance
• High school diploma or GED

Special Knowledge/Skills

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English
• Working knowledge and experience in the use and operation of all ground maintenance equipment

Major Responsibilities and Duties

1. Perform necessary tasks to maintain district athletic fields and synthetic grass management.
2. Apply herbicide, insecticide, and pest control chemicals when necessary.
3. Must follow all safety instructions when handling chemical applications.
4. Perform duties as assigned with hand and power tools for athletic field maintenance.
5. Report any hazardous situations to Athletic Field Supervisor.
6. Remove hazardous objects such as broken glass, rods, concrete, etc. from the grounds.
7. Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.
8. Demonstrate integrity and ethics.
9. Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
10. Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
11. Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
12. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
13. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
14. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
15. Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
16. Be available for after hour demands.

• Including but not limited to all hand and power tools, mowing equipment for athletic fields, and tools for synthetic grass management
