Primary Purpose

Qualifications

Education/Certification

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

 Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years general office experience

Major Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Enter data from attendance forms for each class period and maintain 2nd period attendance report used for ADA.
  2. Print verification forms every two weeks and prepare weekly attendance report.
  3. Maintain record of student identification numbers.
  4. Enter information on new student and withdrawal into computer.
  5. Maintain school function list of students participating in extra curricular activities.
  6. Maintain student demographic information files.
  7. Supervise student office assistants.
  8. Keep accurate attendance records from AEP, JJAEP.
  9. Maintain master phone list.
  10. Be responsible for attendance letters to parents/guardian each nine weeks.
  11. Maintain accurate excuse notes on all student folders.
  12. Verify PEIMS records (e.g. social security number and birthdates).
  13. Check students in and out.
  14. Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality staff development opportunities for personal growth.
  15. Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.
  16. Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.
  17. Demonstrate integrity and ethics.
  18. Display proficient levels of technology applications.
  19. Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
  20. Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
  21. Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
  22. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
  23. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
  24. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
  25. Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
