Qualifications                                                

Education/Certification       

  • High school diploma or GED

Special Knowledge/Skills

  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic

  • Requirement determined by supervisor

 Major Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Monitor facility lots before, during and after school.
  2. Patrol perimeter of campus throughout day
  3. Verify doors are secure throughout day
  4. Look for unusual activities and suspicious persons
  5. Patrol Athletic Facilities
  6. Patrol hidden areas of campus
  7. Assist with arrival/dismissal of staff and students
  8. Assist campus leadership in providing safety and security for students
  9. Provide written or oral reports as required.
  10. Provide support in areas of campus that are safety vulnerable.
  11. Work with Director of Safe Schools to identify and address vulnerabilities.
  12. Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality staff development opportunities for personal growth.
  13. Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.
  14. Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.  
  15. Demonstrate integrity and ethics.
  16. Display proficient levels of technology applications.
  17. Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
  18. Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
  19. Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
  20. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
  21. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
  22. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
  23. Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
