Primary Purpose

Qualifications

Education/Certification

  • High school diploma or GED

Special Knowledge/Skills

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient computer, typing, word processing, and spreadsheet skills
  • Competent math skills
  • Strong organizational skills

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years general office experience

Major Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Enter data from attendance forms for each class period and maintain 2nd period. attendance report used for ADA.
  2. Check students in and out.
  3. Post all substitute attendance sheets.
  4. Post attendance daily for AEP and ISS.
  5. Supervise student office assistants.
  6. Keep accurate attendance records from AEP, JJAEP.
  7. Maintain accurate excuse notes on all student folders.
  8. Print verification forms every two weeks and prepare weekly attendance report.
  9. Be responsible for attendance letters to parents/guardian every nine weeks.
  10. Be responsible for PEIMS input and verifying Generate attendance reports every six weeks.
  11. Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality staff development opportunities for personal growth.
  12. Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.
  13. Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.
  14. Demonstrate integrity and ethics.
  15. Display proficient levels of technology applications.
  16. Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
  17. Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
  18. Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
  19. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
  20. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
  21. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
  22. Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
