Description | Primary Purpose
- Provide device diagnostics and repair support for all Technology systems at a campus or district wide.
Qualifications
Education/Certification
- High school diploma or GED required, college preferred.
- A+ certification or equivalent certification preferred.
- Must pass CCISD Drug and Alcohol Abuse Standards.
- Must pass criminal history and MVR driving record check as required by CCISD.
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and telephone etiquette skills.
- Ability to provide device repair services for standard district laptops, printers, peripherals, and other technology devices.
- Ability to provide technical support to end users.
- Ability to understand operation of district standard equipment.
- Ability to read, follow, and interpret software and hardware manuals.
- Working knowledge of implementing and maintaining software/hardware technologies.
- Working knowledge of network configurations, topologies, and installation.
- Ability to properly diagnose and repair enterprise technology equipment.
- Ability to properly configure and troubleshoot enterprise applications.
Experience
- Minimum of one year of experience providing device repair service or technical support to end users, preferably in an educational environment, is preferred.
Major Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide diagnostic and repair services for standard district laptops, printers, peripherals, and other technology devices.
- Provide technical support for all district technology systems at the campus/department level as well as district wide.
- Assist the Computer Technician I and Computer Technician II in the support of CCISD’s technology devices and services district-wide.
- Provide regular updates and status reports to the appropriate supervisor.
- Complete a written record of every device repair or service call.
- Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality professional learning opportunities.
- Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.
- Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.
- Demonstrate integrity and ethics.
- Display proficient levels of technology applications.
- Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
- Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
- Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
- Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
- Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
- Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
- Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as required.
