Description

Primary Purpose

  • Assist administration by providing clerical support through inputting data, providing reports, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

Education/Certification

  • High school diploma or GED 

Special Knowledge/Skills

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills   
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to be detailed oriented and maintain critical accuracy        

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of general office and computer experience  

Major Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Input data on student systems as requested by administrative staff or head counselor.
  2. Be responsible for PEIMS data accuracy.
  3. Maintain electronic demographic files on students.
  4. Verify accuracy of all student data and required enrollment forms.
  5. Deal professionally with highly confidential student and teacher information.
  6. Maintain and print the following: progress reports, student rosters, grade sheets, student report cards, weekly attendance sheets, demographic labels, attendance reports, eligibility reports, class rosters, error reports, and failure reports.
  7. Maintain auditable documents and insure all special programs coordinators have verified and approved data.
  8. Assist with office tasks such as answering phone calls, arrival/dismissal of students, greeting visitors, responding to inquiries for information and help.
  9. Attend any required district training and implement requirements.
  10. Uphold school rules, administrative regulations, and state and local board policy.
  11. Attend all IMS workshops/updates.
  12. Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality staff development opportunities for personal growth.
  13. Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.
  14. Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.
  15. Demonstrate integrity and ethics.
  16. Display proficient levels of technology applications.
  17. Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
  18. Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
  19. Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
  20. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
  21. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
  22. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
  23. Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
