Description

Primary Purpose

  • Maintain and service vending machines throughout the district by collecting money, inventorying products, stocking machines, ordering products, and ring some maintenance.

Qualifications

Education/Certification

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Texas driver's license with MVR driving record check

Special Knowledge/Skills

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to drive a delivery truc
  • Some mechanical knowledge
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Knowledgeable in operating an efficient, cost effective program
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Reading comprehension and basic math skills
  • Ability to stay on task, self motivate, and work well alone

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years successful experience in vending preferred

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Deliver Food Service vending products daily to district schools as instructed by supervisor.
  2. Stock vending machines with product.
  3. Monitor dated food products to ensure safety and quality according to policies, procedures, and department requirements.
  4. Maintain a record of food loss products.
  5. Maintain log of machine readings for dollars sold since last reading.
  6. Maintain accurate reports of weekly and monthly costs and product inventory.
  7. Order food products weekly based on inventory level.
  8. Ensure that all food items are stored in a safe and appropriate manner according to department policies and procedures.
  9. Operate a sanitary work environment following health and safety codes and regulations.
  10. Show initiative, high degree of professionalism, and customer service skills while representing CCISD at all locations.
  11. Perform maintenance repairs as needed.
  12. Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality staff development opportunities for personal growth.
  13. Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.
  14. Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.
  15. Demonstrate integrity and ethics.
  16. Display proficient levels of technology applications.
  17. Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
  18. Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
  19. Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
  20. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
  21. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
  22. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
  23. Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as requested.
