Primary Purpose

  • Assist the campus/department staff with assigned daily tasks.

Qualifications

Education/Certification

  • Currently enrolled in high school or upper level education program

Special Knowledge/Skills

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use good judgment
  • Ability to understand and comply with established procedures   
  • Knowledge of general office equipment

Experience

  • None required

 Major Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Assist campus/department staff with assigned tasks including but not limited to locker clean out, book check in, technology equipment prep, filing, shredding, interacting with students, etc. 
  2. Contribute to a positive school/department climate.
  3. Organize, clean, disinfect and maintain equipment and supplies.
  4. Uphold and enforce school rules, administrative regulations, and state and local board policy. 
  5. Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality staff development opportunities for personal growth.
  6. Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.
  7. Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals. 
  8. Demonstrate integrity and ethics. 
  9. Display proficient levels of technology applications. 
  10. Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities. 
  11. Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings. 
  12. Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor. 
  13. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers. 
  14. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met. 
  15. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal). 
  16. Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
