Primary Purpose

 

Support the mission, vision, and strategic goals of Clear Creek ISD by implementing activities under the Bay Area Alliance Community Coalition Partnership grant, which include increasing organizational capacity, adhering to all DSHS grant required reports, and implementing evidence-based environmental prevention strategies.

 

Qualifications

 

Education/Certification/Licensure

Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field preferred. 

ACPS certification preferred; or ability to obtain within one year.
Special Knowledge/Skills

Effective communication and public relations skills

Proficient computer and file management skills

Ability to make good judgments and decisions and maintain confidentiality
Demonstrated ability to coordinate numerous projects simultaneously. 

Experience

Three years prevention experience

Experience working with grants

Proficient computer, database management, and typing skills

Major Responsibilities and Duties

 

  1. Work collaboratively with Bay Area Alliance staff and volunteers to bring together a diverse group of citizens in the Bay Area to strengthen collaboration in addressing the problem of underage drinking and drug use.
  2. Oversee the development and implementation of community needs assessment, logic model, strategic plan, and program evaluation.
  3. Attend and participate in community, staff, and other meetings in accordance with Alliance needs and ensures accurate minutes for all Alliance driven meetings.
  4. Work with Capacity Committee to develop organizational agreements with various community agencies.
  5. Ensure that the coalition website adheres to CCP grant requirements by disseminating information about Alliance strategies.
  6. Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality staff development opportunities for personal growth.
  7. Ensure compliance with CCP grant requirements by initiating purchase orders, ensuring that reports are accurate (and comply with grant requirements), and reviewing expenditures with Coalition Manager at least once per month.
  8. Work collaboratively with Bay Area Alliance staff and volunteers to develop strategies for educating the entire community about coalition efforts.
  9. Participate as an active member in all subcommittees within the coalition.
  10. Coordinate student survey for grades 6-12 and Community Assessment Survey on a bi-annual basis.
  11. Coordinate community awareness events to increase capacity within the Alliance.
  12. Assist in fundraising opportunities for the coalition.
  13. Exhibit CCISD Core Values of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
  14. Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality professional learning opportunities for personal growth.
  15. Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.
  16. Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.
  17. Demonstrates proficient levels of technology applications.
  18. Participates fully in drills and safety exercises to provide for the safety and overall emotional wellbeing of students.
  19. Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
  20. Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
  21. Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
  22. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
  23. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
  24. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
  25. Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
