  1. All Clear Creek ISD retirees interested in returning to the district as a substitute must complete only (1) substitute application. After completing your application please call the substitute office at 281-284-0155.
  2. A complete substitute application will include the following:
    1. Three (3) qualified work-related references with associated email addresses (see the application for complete details). One reference must be from a current or previous supervisor.
    2. Complete work history
    3. Complete education information

Primary Purpose

Responsible for carrying out the lesson plans of the teacher for whom he/she is substituting and meeting the duties of teaching as outlined in district policies.

 

 

Qualifications

 

Education

 

Minimum of 30 college semester hours

 

Special Knowledge/Skills:

 

Fluent in English (written and spoken)

 

Other:

Completion of district substitute orientation

Substitutes must be fingerprinted and are required to pass the background check. Employment with Clear Creek ISD is based on having an acceptable criminal history. 

 

 Major Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Instructional Strategies:

    • Follow lesson plans left by the teacher for whom he/she is substituting in accordance with the district’s philosophy, goals, and objectives.

    • Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated

  2. Classroom Management and Organization:

    • Establish and maintain order in the classroom

    • Maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning

    • Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, materials, equipment, and facilities

    • Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and school Board Policies

  3. Communications:

    • Cooperate with school personnel

    • Report to the principal or his/her designee at the beginning and end of the school day

  4. Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • None

  5. Other:
