Primary Purpose
Install, repair, and maintain all types of air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration equipment to ensure proper indoor air quality in all district facilities.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification/Licensure
- High school diploma or GED
- Texas driver’s license and pass MVR driving record check - must meet eligibility requirements for CCISD motor vehicle insurance
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of pneumatic controls
- Knowledge of sequence of operation for hot and chill water systems and controls
- Knowledge of low-pressure boilers and pumps
- Able to do some sheet metal work
- Able to read extensive wiring diagrams
- Knowledge of basic techniques of hand tools, small power tools such as hand drills and saws, and proper use of ladders

Including but not limited to hand tools, small power tools, air conditioning gauges, volt, ohm, amp meter, ladders, and all other related air conditioning equipment and tools

- Strenuous walking, standing and/or climbing
- Heavy lifting 20-80 lbs.
- Inside and outside exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, exposure to dust, toxic chemicals, and materials, slippery and/or uneven walking surfaces
- Work on ladders
