Major Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Maintain a cleaning schedule that will include the following: sweep and dust all rooms and walls; spot mop floors and remove gum, marks, and spills; replace all furniture in proper order after cleaning; empty waste baskets and carry out all trash; clean the kitchen area; clean the shop area; clean the employee lounge areas in the main building as well as the shop; clean the three portable buildings. 
  2. Vacuum all carpeted areas daily and shampoo as needed. 
  3. Clean the refrigerators in all locations once per week. 
  4. Maintain a continuous program of care of hard surface floors, mopping, applying finish, and buffing. 
  5. Clean and disinfect drinking fountains. 
  6. Clean and disinfect restroom lavatories, commodes, urinals, walls and floors; fill all dispensers in restrooms.
  7. Clean windows, ledges, doors, light fixtures, and walls as needed.
  8. Maintain clean orderly closets and storerooms. 
  9. Report maintenance problems to the Director so repairs can be made.
  10. Work around any meetings or special activities that may be in session during work hours. 
  11. Make certain that lights in rooms are out, doors locked, and building secure when you are the last person to leave. 
  12. Clean custodial equipment after use. 
  13. Serve as Bus Aide if needed.

  27. Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
